This session explores a transformative approach to staffing in nursing homes—one that prioritizes resident acuity over traditional staffing ratios. As regulatory expectations evolve and resident complexity increases, facilities must shift from static models to dynamic, needs-based staffing strategies. Participants will learn how to assess acuity using clinical indicators, behavioral health factors, and trauma-informed care principles. 

The presentation will introduce customizable tools for acuity mapping, staff allocation, and shift planning, while highlighting how technology and interdisciplinary collaboration can support real-time adjustments.
