The Prevalence of dementia-related symptoms and other history of trauma behaviors is growing with increased understanding of different disease processes. History turned a "blind eye" to "behaviors" as practitioners treated distress with medications that essentially chemically restrained residents. Now, research demonstrates that those symptoms have a root cause and by avoidance of the triggers to they symptoms, residents feel safer, less lonely, and have an effective way to communicate. This webinar will provide information to participants about effective assessment, effective individualized care plan interventions and effective post-incident management to prevent future incidents.
